About Gina Heatley

Gina is a self-taught artist who discovered digital collage after her first failed round of IVF.

Drawing on her background in psychology, energy work, and feeling, Gina creates pieces that explore poignant themes -grief, feminism, embodiment and gender roles.

The artist uses surrealist composition and symbolic layering to reveal the often-unseen emotional and energetic states of the body and psyche. Each piece is an invitation to quietly witness what is silenced, or socially taboo.

Art is healing; through sharing her inner world Gina witnesses a kind of resolve.

With English-Irish blood, over a decade of living in Asia, and a decade in a Parisian suburb, her art is shaped by diverse cultures.
